We’ll sometimes need to introduce new or temporary timetables when essential works are planned, or if any problems occur on the network. Please check before you travel for any changes to train times and connections with other train operators’ services.

From Sunday 02 June, our train timetables are changing.

The June 2024 timetable booklets will be posted online from 02 June 2024.

The new 06:26 Bidston - Wrexham Central (Monday - Saturday) will provide an earlier morning service.

North Wales Coast

The pre-covid summer Sunday morning service will return between 02 June - 08 September.

07:19 Holyhead to Crewe

Mid

Shrewsbury - Crewe

21:55 Cardiff - Crew (Friday only) will now terminate Shrewsbury. With an additional service 00:17 Shrewsbury - Crewe.

Cambrian line

The pre-covid summer Sunday morning service will return between 02 June - 08 September.

08:31 Shrewsbury to Machynlleth

South

Cardiff - Pencoed, Pontyclun and Llanharan

22:15/22:18 Cardiff - Carmarthen (Monday - Friday) service will no longer stop at Pencoed, Pontyclun and Llanharan.

22:37 Cardiff Central to Maesteg (Monday - Friday) will call at these stations instead.

Cardiff - Gloucester - Cheltenham

Additional services will be added to make it a daytime hourly service (Monday - Saturday).

Cardiff - Shrewsbury

The 07:17 Cardiff - Holyhead (Monday - Friday) service will now call at all stations between Cardiff and Shrewsbury resulting in an extra service for Leominster, Craven Arms and Church Stretton.

Refunds for timetable changes
If you’ve already purchased tickets for services affected by changes you’ll be able to use your tickets on alternative TfW rail services. Alternatively, you’ll be able to request a refund by visiting our refunds page.
